Add, edit, or remove team members

Find out how to manage your team within the app.

Overview

Though Cut+Dry is free for restaurants, you can add an unlimited number of team members as users to the app for your restaurant. Each user can be assigned one of four roles, all with different access to app functions.

Follow these steps to change your staffing:

  1. Add a team member
  2. Edit a team member's profile or role
  3. Remove a team member
Note: Screenshots shown were taken from an Android phone. However, all information in this article is applicable regardless of how you access the app: via mobile phone, tablet, or the desktop web portal.

Add a team member

  1. If using the mobile app, open the side menu by selecting the three lines.
  2. From the side navigation menu, select Users.
  3. On the Users page, select Add User.
  4. On the Add User screen, fill in the Name and Email or Mobile fields.
    ✨ Tip: This email address or phone number will be the new user's login information.
  5. Choose the new user's role from the Role dropdown menu. Here are the details for all four available roles:
    • Admin: Access is unlimited within the app.
    • Manager:
      • Access can be restricted to specific restaurant locations only
      • Can update all functions except for the Restaurant Settings
        Tip: Refer to Change your company name, logo, or billing address for more information.
      • Can add team members with Employee or Bookkeeping roles only
    • Employee:
      • Access can be restricted to specific restaurant locations only
      • Can only use the order guides and ordering functions
    • Bookkeeping:
      • Access can be restricted to specific restaurant locations only
      • Can access reports and ordering functions
      • Can view and pay invoices
  6. Choose the new user's associated location(s) from the Location dropdown menu.
    Tip: Any new location must be added before you can assign a team member to it. Refer to Add, edit, or delete a location for more information.
  7. Select the Add User button.

Result

Cut+Dry will send an invitation to the user for you, letting them know they have been added to your Cut+Dry account. The mobile number or email address you enter will be their login credential.

Edit a team member's profile or role

  1. Open the side menu by selecting the three lines in the upper-left corner.
  2. From the side menu, select Users.
  3. On the Users page, select the user whose profile you want to edit.
  4. On the Edit User screen, edit the fields as needed.
  5. Select the Save Changes button.

Result

All changes are effective immediately!

Remove a Team Member

  1. Open the side menu by selecting the three lines in the upper-left corner.
  2. From the side menu, select Users.
  3. On the Users page, select the user whose profile you want to edit.
  4. On the Edit User screen, scroll down to select the Remove User link.
  5. Choose Yes when prompted.

Result

While the removed user will still be able to log into the Cut+Dry app, they will no longer be associated with your account. This means they will not see nor be able to edit your restauraunt's information.
