Find out how to change which app notifications you personally receive over email, SMS, or app push.

Overview

The Cut+Dry app can send certain types of notifications to your email address, to your phone (via SMS), or by a push to your app notifications. Please note that order reminder notifications are set up by order guide and not individual user settings, so are changed through a different process.

Follow these steps, using the Notification Matrix, to change which types of notifications you receive:

  1. Change your personal notification settings
  2. Change order reminder notification settings
Note: Screenshots shown were taken from an Android phone. However, all information in this article is applicable regardless of how you access the app: via mobile phone, tablet, or the desktop web portal.

Change your personal notification settings

  1. If using the mobile app, open the side menu by selecting the three lines.
  2. From the side navigation menu, select Settings.
  3. In the Settings submenu, select Profile.
  4. On the Profile page, scroll down to the Notification section
Tip: For more information on the other fields on this screen, refer to Change your personal profile settings.
  5. Select or clear checkboxes for the notifications you wish to receive.
✨ Tip: If you do not have a phone number already saved in the Mobile Phone field on this same screen, the SMS checkboxes will not be available for selection.

  6. Scroll down and select the Save button.

Notification Matrix

While all users can see all types of notifications, several of the notifications will only work based on the role assigned to your account (e.g., it is not possible for a person with a general Employee role to receive invoice-related notifications).

  • For more information about user roles, refer to Add, edit, or remove team members.
  • Admin users for your restaurant can CC you on order status emails (New orders, Order viewed by supplier, Order confirmed by supplier) even if you personally have these checkboxes cleared. Refer your admin to Bulk add or remove users for order status emails for more information.
  • To unsubscribe from tracking-related notifications, you can also click the "unsubscribe" link within a tracking email or reply with "UNSUB" to a tracking text message.
Notification type Condition for notification
New orders When you personally submit an order
Order viewed by supplier When a supplier views an order you personally submitted
Order confirmed by supplier When a supplier confirms an order you personally submitted
Chat message When you have a new Chat message in the app
Invoice payments When an invoice is ready for payment
Price tracking alert When an item you have tracked has changed in price
Delivery scheduled When the driver is on their way—check your order tracking link!
Order arriving When the driver is 10-15 minutes away from your location
Arrival confirmation When the driver is at your location
Order delivered When the driver has unloaded the order and left your location
Updated delivery time When the driver is on the way but has encountered an issue (e.g., traffic, road construction, etc.) that will change the previously quoted arrival time
Delivery issues When the driver has encountered an issue that prevents delivery completion (e.g., no one was at the restaurant to receive the order) and they will reach out to you with more information

Change order reminder notification settings

You or your distributor can set up notification on any (or all) of your order guides, to remind you to order before the cut-off time.

✨ Tip: Please note that only Admin users are able to edit Order Guide Settings and adjust these notifications.
  1. On the Place Order screen, select the three dots next to the supplier's name.
  2. Select the Edit Guide link.
  3. If you have more than one order guide with that supplier, select the order guide you want to edit notifications for.
✨ Tip: If you need to edit notifications for multiple order guides, please repeat steps 1-7 for each order guide.
  4. From the three dots setting menu, select Order Guide Settings.
  5. Scroll down on the Order Guide Settings, then select Add Alert.
  6. Change the dates and times of alerts, the alert method, and/or the users being alerted, then select Save.
  7. Select Save again on the Order Guide Settings screen.
