Add new supplier(s)

Find out how to connect your restaurant location(s) to one or more of your suppliers.

Overview

Adding a supplier can look different in the Cut+Dry app depending on whether or not they are an integrated supplier. An integrated supplier is a company that has connected their system with Cut+Dry to make setting up your order guides easier for you. (You can still add any supplier to your account, though. )

✨ Tip: If you are trying to re-add a supplier that you had previously archived, refer to Add a previously archived supplier (Web portal only). Please note that unarchiving cannot be performed on the mobile app.

Follow these steps to add your supplier(s)!

Note: Screenshots shown were taken from an Android phone. However, all information in this article is applicable regardless of how you access the app: via mobile phone, tablet, or the desktop web portal.

Prerequisites

Here is what you will need for the process:

  1. Cut+Dry
  2. Your ordering credentials for your supplier
    • Have your website login information, if you typically order over the web, OR
    • Have your sales rep's email, phone, or fax
  3. Your customer code (for each of your locations), if your supplier is an integrated supplier
✨ Tip:If you do not know your website login credentials or integrated customer code, reach out to your supplier sales rep.

Add new supplier(s)

  1. If using the mobile app, open the side menu by selecting the three lines.
  2. From the side navigation menu, select Place Order.
  3. On the Place Order screen, select either of the +Supplier buttons.
  4. Choose to Continue.
  5. On the Add Your Suppliers screen, fill in the name(s) of your suppliers and select Continue.
    Tip: Select the Add More button if you have more than four suppliers to add.

Result

The Edit Supplier screen will be shown with options for how you can send orders.

The options shown will be different depending on whether or not the supplier is integrated with Cut+Dry. There are five possible options (but not all will display):

  • Direct integration
  • Email
  • Text
  • Fax
  • Supplier website

Exception

Some national Broadline Suppliers have a unique integration with Cut+Dry. Instead of seeing the Edit Supplier screen, you will instead be directed to enter your account credentials with them. Once you supply this info, you're done! They will automatically populate your order guide for you. Please note that you cannot use the in-app Supplier Chat features with national Broadline Suppliers.

  1. On the Edit Supplier screen, connect with your supplier by selecting one or more checkboxes.

    Connect via direct integration

    1. Select the Direct Integration (Preferred) checkbox.
    2. Type in the customer code you received from your supplier.
      ✨ Tip: If you have multiple locations, each location should have a different code.
    3. Consider also selecting either the Email or Text Message checkboxes to add your sales rep's contact information.
      ✨ Tip: Adding one of these will allow you to use the Cut+Dry app Supplier Chat feature to communicate directly with your sales rep.
    4. Select Save.

    Result

    Your supplier is now added to your Cut+Dry account! With an integrated supplier, your order guide will be automatically generated from your purchase history with them.

    Connect via website

    1. Select the Supplier Website checkbox.
    2. Type in the credentials you normally use to log in to your supplier's website.
    3. Choose the Location(s) where you use that supplier from the dropdown menu.
      ✨ Tip: If you have multiple locations that use different login credentials, select the +Add another account link to add additional credentials for those locations.
    4. Consider also selecting either the Email or Text Message checkboxes to add your sales rep's contact information.
      ✨ Tip: Adding one of these will allow you to use the Cut+Dry app Supplier Chat feature to communicate directly with your sales rep.
    5. Select Save.

    Result

    Your supplier is now added to your Cut+Dry account! Next, you will have to add your order guide. For more information, refer to Create or edit an order guide.

    Connect via email, phone, or fax

    1. Select the applicable Email, Phone, or Fax checkbox, according to how you normally order from this supplier's sales rep.
    2. Type in your sales rep's contact information.
    3. Choose the Location(s) where you use that supplier sales rep from the dropdown menu.
      ✨ Tip: If you have multiple locations that use different sales reps from the same supplier, select the +Add another link to add additional credentials for those locations.
    4. If you chose fax, consider also selecting either the Email or Text Message checkboxes to add your sales rep's contact information.
      ✨ Tip: Adding one of these will allow you to use the Cut+Dry app Supplier Chat feature to communicate directly with your sales rep.
    5. Select Save.

    Result

    Your supplier is now added to your Cut+Dry account! Next, you will have to add your order guide. For more information, refer to Create or edit an order guide.
