Chat with your sales rep

Find out how to chat through the app with your supplier sales reps.

Overview

Cut+Dry facilitates communication with your sales rep through the app to confirm orders, accept substitutions, or just say hello! This communication can require a one-time setup, depending on your supplier.

  • National Broadline suppliers (Sysco, US Foods, etc.) are NOT available for chatting over the Supplier Chat, since you are not ordering from a live sales person or team over Cut+Dry.
  • Integrated suppliers (ones with a teal circular arrow next to their names) are already connected to you—feel free to use Chat right away!
  • Non-integrated suppliers (suppliers who have not yet set up with Cut+Dry) will require you to:
    1. Determine how your supplier is connected to Cut+Dry
    2. Enable Supplier Chat functionality

Note: Screenshots shown were taken from an Android phone. However, all information in this article is applicable regardless of how you access the app: via mobile phone, tablet, or the desktop web portal.


Determine how your supplier is connected to Cut+Dry

  1. On the Place Order screen, select the three dots next to the supplier's name.
  2. Select the Edit Supplier link.
  3. From the selected checkboxes, confirm whether how your supplier is connected to you via Email and/or Text Message.

Result

✨ Tip: A supplier can be connected in multiple, simultaneous ways.
  • If your supplier was connected with either an email address or mobile number, you can stop here. Your Supplier Chat was set up to function as soon as your supplier verified their email or mobile number. Select Supplier Chat from the side menu to begin chatting with your sales rep.
  • If your supplier is ONLY connected to you via fax or website, stay on this screen and continue to Enable Supplier Chat functionality.

Enable Supplier Chat functionality

  1. If neither the Email or Text message checkbox is selected, select one and fill out the contact information.
    ✨ Tip: If you select both email and text, your sales rep will be contacted in both ways with every Supplier Chat message and order sent.
  2. If you have multiple locations, and each has a different sales rep:
    1. Select the specific location(s) from the dropdown menu.
    2. Select the +Add another email link to add contact info for your other location(s).
  3. Select Save.

Result

Cut+Dry will reach out to your supplier via that email address or mobile number to confirm the communication link. Select Supplier Chat from the side menu to begin chatting with your sales rep.
